Stance/Should I Stay or Should I Go
« on: October 19, 2015 - 12:18:34 PM »
I am thinking about raising the back end of Challenger a bit.  Since restoration it has settled a bit in the rear....not much.  I wanted to raise it to give it a bit of a rake look.  Just wanted thoughts on should I raise it or leave it?

It has 17" wheels x 9 in the back.

Thanks.

No. That sits perfect. Very nice car! The same amount of tire showing at the top front and back makes it look professional and not a slap-together.

Leave it!  It's pretty close to perfect the way it is. :2thumbs:

If you really want more rake I would lower the front end about a 1/2" instead.

Might be an illusion, but it looks a tough lower in the back.  I would at least make it even.

It sits nice in my opinion. No need to do anything. By the way what car do you have in the back, I can't seem to recognize it :clueless:

I think it looks good as is, but if it gets any lower you would want to raise it up....It could go up a little right now too... :2cents:

Looks like a little more sidewall shows in front than back. Looks like the front is sitting higher...
If the fuel tank and trunk are empty I would lower the front a bit. If you plan to keep your tank full, carry a full size spare and a tool box, it will all make a little difference in final ride height...
With 275/40 rears and 245/45 fronts my tires are 25.7" tall F&R.
Challengers may sit a little different but I tried to get as close to 1/2" higher from the ground to the center of the wheel opening as possible with my Cuda.
I think yours looks very close to how they came from the factory.  :2cents:

Lower the front to get the rake you are looking for.   :2cents:
