Identifing Prestolite Dual Point Distributor Question ?
« on: October 22, 2015 - 07:25:37 PM »
If you have a late 60's early 70's Prestolite dual point distributor how can you tell if it's for a:
340 ?
383/400 ?
440/426 ?

I know the shaft length is different, but does anybody know measurements? there's no tag on the one I bought.

Al. On the 440 and 426 the shaft sticks out 4 inches passed the base. On a 383 its 3.5 inches, Not sure on the small block but it will be different length also.

Just looked at the picture of the one you bought. Shaft looks too short for a 440 or 426.

You're Welcome!

I still have the OEM Prestolite Dist.
I had a tag made and it's very nice. I think it was like 35 bucks.

TOPCAT.  Can you tell us who made your tag? I recently contacted Bill Rolik Enterprises and they quoted me $95.00 for a Prestolite dual point tag. Thanks.
