Less than a month until the show and once again it looks like Bob Ashton has a line up that will raise the bar even higher than the lofty level set by the previous years shows!!
I've attended the show as a spectator in 2009, had my '71 in the show 2010 and 2011, and was so impressed with the show I've volunteered to work there in the years since. If you've been to the show, you know that it is the Pebble Beach of Muscle Cars. 500+ of the best of the best. And the most amazing part is that you will seldom see just one of a super rare type of car, Bob's goal is if you are going to have one in the show, why not more? So what is in store this year... How about 27 real deal hemi Cuda and Hemi Challenger Convertibles!!?? There will be many more exciting Mopars there too, including the unveiling of the restoration of one of the only '72 Roadrunner 440 six packs made. It was in Ryan Brutts (Devil here on the board) Barn Find section a couple years back, and now it will be there debuting with a concours restoration.
Ryan will be signing copies of his new Barn Find book too.
I'm scheduled to work 12 hours during setup and all day Saturday and Sunday so I hope I'll get a chance to meet c.c members who attend.
The convention center is just east of O'Hare airport, a mere punch and a roll from the airport, so it is very easy to get there.
