Car update:
Jane and John Doe are planning on selling the car in the near future.
John is now residing in the great Cruise night in the sky.

Jane said the following.

She has owned the car since the 80’s.  She is the 2nd owner.
The car was painted a few years ago, and it is the original-correct color.
The interior is original with 1 noticeable tear in the passenger front seat.

She had the car appraised a few years back for $19,000.
John was a professional mechanic and kept the car in good shape.
The car has the Slant-6 original engine.

When the car was appraised, the company said all of the parts are original.  The car has 97K miles.
The car is currently living south of Tampa Florida.

Since the price is over my current spending limit, I am not going to pursue this car.
I did offer my services to help her sell the car when the time comes.

Jane is planning on sending me copies of her documents for this car.  She thinks she has the original window sticker?
Now I plan on researching a reasonable price for a 67 convertible with a slant-6 in good shape.
Then wait for her to makeup her mind.

Based on this info, and it's one of many that can be used to value classics I'm going to peg it $13 to $14 K in value. Thats if its "rust free "   Notice the 6 cylinder brings the value down 20%.   http://www.collectorcarmarket.com/collector-car/prices/1967-plymouth-barracuda-value.html

Hi Mark
I agree with your estimate.  I too assumed the Slant-6 would cause a big hit in the price.
I will keep looking for other estimates, but think the 13-15 range, and selling for closer to the 13 range.
Hopefully i will have some copes if the documents and do some more research.
Thanks,  Miles
