Pretty good endorsement there. 3 years ago I was at the MATS and talked to the 2 Hotchkiss drivers (70 Challenger and 68 RR); they were very open and frank about the suspension and their feelings about it. Granted, they work for the company and the AutoX was sponsored by Hotchkiss, so you would expect them to talk it up. But the guy with the RR was very open and basically just a car guy and great to talk to. I do not have any personal experience with the Hotchkiss system, but I cannot say anything negative about it. I like FF stuff, but I think it is a personal preference thing. Perhaps on my Hemi RR I will run Hotchkiss just to try it out.

He was getting it! I have been meaning to go auto crossing for awhile but always seem to find something else to do that I deem more important at the time. I plan to start with my 10 Challenger RT, then to my Viper and then to my 70 Challenger. Like any hobby, just have to get into the flow of it.

Yes, that is our car. My son Andrew was driving in the video running in the PRO class. I was co-driving running street machine class. That track was a very technical track was hard for a lot of drivers to figure out. I was in 5th place most of the weekend till another car on the very last run of the day bump me out by a couple tenths, Andrew's time would of had him a solid 3rd place in street machine class but since he was in the PRO class he placed in top ten there, running with some very good cars.

The one of the guys you talked to from Hotchkis with the blue 68 RR was Dan W. He has his own race shop in Az but works directly with Hotchkis. Very  very knowledgeable guy in all aspects of cars, chassis as well as driving as he is/was instructor. He took my son and I for ride in there challenger for some lessons, he ran the course mostly one handed all the while pointing & talking about the lines thru the course.... one of the top three times for the weekend!

i admit I was at one point sold on a AlterKtion or Magnumforce type coil over set up. I really wanted to do this project. But after reading more and more on this site I decided I'm going to keep my torsion bars. The coil over is pretty cool, but I just don't need it. After seeing the Hotchkis car I see you can go just as fast with torsion bars and save a lot of cash. You can also do it a piece at at time unlike a coil over where you pretty much have to drop all the cash at once.

I have exactly the same thought as you do: I was into coilovers, but after reading a lot of posts here I decided to go for full Hotchkis TVS. Not now, but I hope in the next 1-2 years.

Same here, I really read a lot about coil overs, and it seems like a great setup, but there is some critics and its hard for a non expert to figure out whats best, so I went with Firmfeel Suspension Kit 3 and USCarTool reinforcement.

Are you happy with the FF stage 3 kit? I like that kit and was wondering how it performs against thr TVS.

I don't know yet, one thing lead to another and now my car is in a million pieces, got a 6.1 Hemi on the floor and the body is going
on a rotisserie in a week or so...  but the FF stuff looks great in the boxes!   :grinno:
We'll see in a couple of years...

I have a stage 3 in my Challenger, very nice. it will kind of freak you out the first time you drive it with the new box if you have driven it with the old box; feels completely different.

Just bought a "new to me" 70 Challenger that I am planning to install a modern 5.7 or 6.1 Hemi with a Six Speed manual, although as you indicated, it's all about the ride and suspension and this is what I plan on installing first!
