WIW 71 Challenger, 383, 727
« on: October 31, 2015 - 06:14:09 PM »
Hi All,
I just put a deposit on this car I an think I am in the ballpark of a decent price for both the seller and I but I want to know if I am loosing my mind or not.
I have not seen the car in person yet as it is a long ways away.
71 Challenger currently has a supposedly fresh 383 and 727. Was originally a 318 car so not a numbers car or original R/T car. Here's an interesting thing, whomever did the swap put in a 9 1/4" rear.
Recent paint, good shape other than some minor things and a door alignment issue on one side. If the door was to be fixed, off about 1/4", it would need to be re-stripped (which wouldn't be that bad since the strip is wrong for the year right?). Thoughts as to value? I don't see to many cars that are not rust buckets in my area. Underside it pretty clean.
