Calendar info
« on: November 01, 2015 - 10:03:10 AM »
Every year I seem to hear things like "I didn't know about the calendar", "I didn't know about voting", so this is what I was kind of thinking about.

Is there anyway to highlight calendar information on the home page, there's some room right above the Car of the Month.

I was thinking in bold red letters something like - "Submissions for the calendar now being accepted" and maybe a link to it.
Then, when they're all in, another notice like - "Calendar voting now open" and a link to that one.

I've been watching the progress and we've been stuck at 43 members voted. Just a suggestion to try and get more awareness and participation.

Good notions. As far as I can tell, there's no way to change text color or font in the message title, only in the body.

Yeah, usually when Judy posts the ordering thread there are a bunch of people who say "There's a calendar? Why didn't I know about this?"   :dunno:

I don't know if we're talking about the same location.
I'd like to see something stand out, and/or remind everyone on that page you get as soon as you log in. It has the purple Challenger and white Cuda and the Car Of The Month. I called it the home page, maybe it's called the login page.

Perhaps even make a Login/cart/checkout for a calender purchase on the website.
Easy to find along with Convenience may help boost calender sales.

I agree, something that pops out when you login before you get into the body of the forum.

Thanks.

Of course it would have to be a pre order purchase since Judy will need to know how many to make up front to meet demand. A cutoff deadline date to purchase needs to be in big red letters.

Well I think Judy probably might not get the credit she deserves for doing this for us. If there was something that is not part of the basic format that would alert all of us, new and old members that the calender is available , that you can enter your car, well it might become a year round thing, instead of being buried in the body of the forum. Heck I've even thought about a calender of a car from begining to end of a restoration. With so many members on this forum we need more calender activity. So lets promote it.   :2thumbs:                        :rebel:

Exactly why I brought up the topic. A nice obvious notation on the login page informing everyone that "Voting Is now Open" might not have been missed; especially if the notice also had a link to the voting thread.

Judy will need to know how many to make up front to meet demand.

Judy can verify this, but I think she moved to print-on-demand. That's why I've generally been starting and ending the voting later in the year during the past two years, so people get more time to create shots, enter them, and vote.
