Strange fender tag?

Hi, im looking at a fender tag of a 440 six pack challenger, I have a question about it
It says A01, AND L25.... A01 is the Light package including trunk lamp. But L25 is code for trunk lamp.
Why?

And whats V6X?

L25 with A01 is typical....  Theres also N85 with A62.....   Those are normal...  Check your new R/T SE.... However N96 with a B12 SPD is a problem...  There were early Shakers & late Shakers but no Shakers mid year....  I don't know the cut-off date for early but I'm thinking B12 is to late...


Ok here is the definitive info.... In spite of his humble intro the late Daniel Baker was probably in the top 2-3 people on Shaker Challenger info...



Here�s what I know about N96 Challengers. I WILL BE THE FIRST TO ADMIT THAT THIS IS PROBABLY NOT 100% ACCURATE DUE TO THE RECORD KEEPING THAT WAS DONE BACK IN THE DAY.

In 1970 there were the following:

184 Total
164 R/T�s, 15 R/T SE�s, and 5 R/T Convertibles
The ONLY engines could be the 383, 440-4, 440-6, or 426 Hemi
There are NO R/T�s with a 340 in 1970


In 1971 there were the following:

224 Total
72 JH non R/T (340 or 383)
11 JH Convertibles (no R/T converts in 1971)
39 R/T Small Block (340)
102 R/T Big Block (383, 440-6, or 426 Hemi)

There are three different Challenger Shaker Hoods

Early 1970 (Before early to mid October, 1969) with NO crush zones w/raised boss for triangle emblem

Late 1970 (after April 15th) and 1971 with crush zones w/raised boss for triangle emblem

Late 1971 (or more likely over the counter part) with crush zones but NO raised boss for triangle emblem

There seems to be NO 1970 N96 Challengers known to exist that were built between October 11th, 1969 and April 15th, 1970. I have seen a few examples but they NEVER have a Broadcast Sheet or Documentation.

I have a fairly large database of N96 Challengers and I�m always looking for more information. If you own one please contact me so I can add yours!

So a SPD of B12  =  November 12th 1969....  Sorry doesn't fit....

Those numbers don't include Cars sold new outside of the US.
For 1971 it says 11 JH convertibles, while there's at least 3 more documented ones in Ontario alone !

This is a Y07 car, built for Canada specs. Can it make sense? Or is the tag a repro tag?

Reproduction implies its attempting to duplicate an original tag.....  That tag is simply fake....

I assume this car does not have a sheet?
Does this car have a complete and a known history or did it suddenly 'appear'?
It is hard sometimes to contain emotions when a car us presented with the options that this car appears to have. It is critical that you can establish where it came from and who owned it in the past. I can remember flying to Austin to inspect an incredible 1971 440-6 Barrel Cuda many years ago. It was owned by a reputable collector at the time and at first I was just going to send the money. After talking with a previous owner, whose contact information was provided by the seller, I found one of the previous owners was one I knew had a questionable reputation.
I had to go look at it in person. What I found was a gorgeous, numbers matching, loaded and well documented car that was a fake. A very minor slip up was made by whoever built it. It cost me almost two grand in last minute airfare but I saved myself a whole lot of trouble and money.
