Heater Control Valve Placement!?!?!?!
« on: May 29, 2005 - 09:32:14 PM »
Where does it go? I bought one from YearOne and my resto team doesn't exactly know where it's placed, no photos on eBay, google etc can help either. They have a resto book but it doesn't show exactly where this weird little part goes.

If you need help remembering I copied this from YearOne along with a photo.

I need to know exaclty (or there abouts) where it goes in the engine bay? :dontknow:

Photos would be an absolute blast.  :grinyes: :worship:

Heres the description and photo:

Heater control valve-This valve is cable-operated and has two 5/8" inlets, one 5/8" outlet and one 1/2" outlet.
The original was constructed of plastic, while this is gold-cadmium-plated metal.
Heater control valve fits 1971-1974 B-body and 1970-1974 E-body with A/C.

Thanks for any help.
Cheers,
Carl

Thanks CP but I might need a little more info than that, a photo would rock!!  :guitar: :grinyes: :D

Because all the A/C cars I've seen have a black cylinder about 12-15" long half way down the engine bay and that seems to be the main A/C piece on the right side.  :???: Must be down a little perhaps? Weird bloody thing.  :madvibe: ;D

Thanks Mr Miyagi   :worship:

Check out the pics that Cannibal posted in my "heater control" thread. His looks to be mounted on the fender well
