Confused by this 1970 AAR

    Overall it looks like a great car but after looking at all the pics I don't understand a few things:

    Why is the undercarriage a different color than the car? He says he only replaced the floor pan. Mounting the MSD box behind the wheel is the absolute worst place you could have chosen. KYB's on an AAR is kinda cheap but hey.....

    That's funny...I was looking at that car the other night...slowly scrolling through the pictures I was really liking what I saw until the engine compartment, started picking out little incorrect details...then I got to the under carriage pictures and just about threw up in my mouth....Somebody's idea of preserving the underside by brushing on red oxide primer ? WTH ? :screwy:...why not just spray it black at least.....Wow...what a mess....and because the car looks so nice on the top side, he probably figures he has a $90K car :grinno:

    I'd be happy to own it. Drive it lots (4 speed with rallye gauges!) and clean it up as you go. I'd check it out in person though before bidding for bondo and body repair.

    Yea I agree...it's optioned perfectly ! Guess it all depends on what he thinks it's work....I would say high $60's low $70's...

    Ya I think he stated that the build sheet was for an FC7 built A few cars before or after that one. I have heard of that, but have not seen it for my self. :screwy:

     Not as familiar with the AAR as I am the T/A and just wondering why the tail panel has exhaust cutouts.  Looks odd….

     that's called butchering a 2 piece trunk pan .
    do it the right way.
    remove the taillight panel and install a 1 piece.

    Yikes...now that I look closer you can see where the new pan is laying on top of the old rusty one along the frame rails.....what a mess ! :puke:
    I'm changing my estimate to mid-$60's at best
