Air Gap Intake?

I currently have a Torker 340 Edelbrock intake on my 340. I ordered an Air Gap intake and was wondering if I will have any problems putting my Holley Ultra on this intake? Thanks

you may need to clearance the choke well for the secondary linkage but otherwise it will bolt on

Its electric choke and manual secondarys. What will I have to do to clearance the choke well Chryco?

Straight bolt on. I've got an Eddy Air Gap on the 340 in my Duster with a Holley Ultra 750 DP, electric choke and mechanical secondaries. Hood clearance should be fine with the rest of your set up too if you were running a torker.

No choke well on an Air Gap manifold either...

Thats great to hear about the clearance because I was afraid to ask that. I checked the specs and they looked good but I'm already into the hood insulator now. I appreciate your reply!

Bolt on , yes...

Just be careful and check hood clearance difference air cleaners and /or carb spacers will dent your hood..

A-Body car's have more hood clearance..

Your right, but your bursting my bubble. Specs say carb pad height on the Torker is 5.72" and on the Air Gap 5.35".  Its about maxed now

Sounds like you're picking up nearly a 1/2" changing manifolds- to the good!

Yeah but if it clears with the Torker you shouldn't have to do anything, you should end up with a little more clearance. On my Duster I run my air gap and 750 DP with a 1" super sucker spacer, but I have to run a drop base air cleaner and a shorter air filter (2.3" tall) to make that work. The picture is from when I was still only running a 1/2" spacer and the standard air filter for the Mopar Performance lid.

Mancini sells a 13" drop base air cleaner now that works with the Mopar Performance lid. I had to steal mine out of a Ford Racing air cleaner kit...

I hope I end up with that extra 1/2", I'd be in good shape. Is it true you can just use silicone on the ends of the intake? That would be a hugh help, its nearly impossible to get the bolts back in with the shaved heads.

Yes, I've done it on a couple of my 360. Just make a thick bead and let it skin up.

I have the air gap on my 340 in a challenger with the rally hood. It's tight, I am running a open K&N with a drop base to clear the hood. I have always used silicone to seal the front and rear, never a problem.
