We did the calculations and sourced the shim and gaskets; should yield about 10:1 CR. Using stock iron heads, aluminum single 4BBL intake (going to run EFI). The car will be used for cruising, more of a conversation piece than anything else. I have most of the components except the oil pan, timing chain cover, oil pump and 1 exhaust rocker. I have a solid crane cam for it. The guy I got all of this from was a big hemi guy and had built a number of them, however he is no longer available so I am at a slight loss. I am very familiar with normal small and big blocks, just not the nuances of the elephant.
