this is nuts.
I probably peruse more Challenger Facebook pages than I should...My Facebook feed is full of nothing but Challengers/Mopars...
So I am a part of this Facebook group: '72-'74 Cudas and Challengers
Someone posted a thread on "post a pic of your car here"
So I did.
Then I started scrolling through the posts to check out the amazing rides people have..
Then I spotted something familiar.. A '72 340 4 speed barn find car in B5 Blue out of Minnesota.
I start corresponding with the owner about a similar car I looked at a number of years ago that fit that description...
As it turns out, the car I looked at WAY back in 2006 is that very car. In talking with the owner, it turns out he bought it from someone else, and didn't have the original owners info... Of course I still had it! (I'm a packrat)
The new owner will send some pics and info for my entertainment. I know it'll probably sting a little.

Well, I drove 11 hours up to Wisconsin to take a peek with cash in hand.
Honestly, it probably had the cleanest floorpans and trunk I have seen in this "price class" The cowl wan near perfect, the duthcman was perfect, all the glass was paerfect, the parts car hood was perfect.
Now for the ugly in order of importance.
The frame was bent. It was kinked up at the cowl, and dinged just past the A arm on the frame rail. (side)
The car had tons of condensation rust, and needed new rear quarters, doors, front fenders, a new grille panel, possibly a front passenger wing, and some heavy fab work on the lower A-pillar splash-cowl intersection.
Engine was sitting for 21 years, but it matched. It needed to be torn apart to be saved.
The interior was infested with rodents, but good door panels, Center console, front and rear and IP.
right rear wheel was locked up.
She had an offer for 5200, and I advised her to go with that offer.
Let me remind you, this was the real deal - a true 4 speed non rally 340/4 barrell car.
My search continues..
Please keep an eye out.
