GM's Heat Riser Valve lubricant used to be the best damn penetrant I ever used, but I'm not sure it can even be bought or is formulated the same these days. We also used to use ATF mixed with diesel fuel conditioner. Is it stuck Josh or just blowing it past the rings? Don't use Comet or the like, you'll just make it worse. If it's stuck, I'd pull the plugs and fill'er up 'til it ran out the plug hole. My first 340 was stuck and we used that witch's brew and then threw 24V on it! The sparks were impressive, BUT, it also came free. If you try it, stand clear of the plug holes- don't ask me how I know this.

I just remember d some one telling me that A product  called diesel 911 fuel treatment worked well as A penetrating solution! works wonders for jelling up diesels in the winter, cleans up fuel systems and absorbs water. might be worth A try. :2cents:

We have used corrosionX to free outboard motors and rusted up inboard motors with good results. We used to fill the cylinders and let it sit for a few days to work, also on a car motor remove the valve covers and spray some down the pushrod to help the lifters free up.....one thing other good thing about corrosionX is that it smells better than the other stuff!! just my 2 cents ...good luck josh

LOL, that was in the days before everybody and his dog had a camera on them Bart! About 2 of the cylinders-worth hit me right in the face. Jesus! Between the lacquer thinner- did I forget to mention that- and the oils, I couldn't see right for hours! BUT, the sound of that 340 now rolling over, made up for a lot of it.   Ian

I'll post up what happens when I can spend a minute.

Just took on 6 more employees and 27,000 more feet of building. :bricks1: I wish I could just work on the cars in the garage everyday. But this work thing gets in the way.
