Flush oversize windshield with no chrome trim for 73 Challenger

So I was watching "Kindigit" on Velocity the other day, and he was doing a 1st generation Camaro in which he replaced the windshield with oversize glass that has a flat black edge on it. It used the newer style sealant on the edge and had about a 1/8 gap between the glass and the body. It was really slick and I would like to do this on my 73 Challenger restoration.

Does anyone know of a source for this type of glass for Mopar for the front and rear pieces?

Where as I think the trim on Johns Cuda looks awesome.  I have reservations to how good it would look on our cars with other body colors. His blends in real well because of the black. Would love to do something like that. But with a yellow car I am not sure if it would just end up looking like some trim is missing.

I am planning on doing exactly this on my sublime Cuda, I think it will look modern. Like most things, this will be personal preference.

Take a walk through a wrecking yard, a lot of cars have a simple T shaped filler that presses into the gap between the glass and body, like John has used, Im sure there is different thicknesses, you might find one that suits, they are mostly black so I dont think body color will be an issue then

My brother-in-law and I did this to his 1971 "Killer Cuda" way back in 1993....His was one of the first muscle cars with this type of modern upgrade

I would imagine body working the window opening to fit the specific window would be less $$$ than custom windows.

As for the "t" fillers on the newer cars. That is what you expect to see.  What you expect to see on the old is chrome trim. Hence my comment on it possibly looking like something is missing.

Not bashing here. I think it is a unique way to mod these things. Just worry about overall asthetics with different colors and using a black T.

          I like the chrome trim.   We powdercoated the rear to match the louvers though. Looks good.
