Very cool , I would mill the intake so the spacer can be removed helping clearance for the Air C

its not a hood clearance issue, the inlets on top of the throttle body are raised over the air horn.  As far as I can see, you just can't use a dropped base.  Maybe I can cut reliefs in the base of the AC but then I would also have to notch the air cleaner. not sure how I would keep dirt out of the notch. I can maybe get a raised base and still use a 2" filter.  I have not actually checked the clearance.

It looks like the fuel return is the only area that rises above the air cleaner flange.... You might be able to dimple the area some.... I'd rad about guys having issues with the fuel lines but not the raised area on the fuel return... Supposedly running fittings the turn down rather than coming straight out helps allot but if your experiencing contact with the throttle body then thats a new issue I hadn't heard of..

I ran a 45* down turn form the supply.  it's still interfering.

Guys,
new update.  VERY IMPORTANT.  the issue I was having with the FCC was not pressure related.  not inlet pressure anyway.  I used the EVAP system that was already plumbed into the 73 Model year.  it uses a charcoal canister and a vapor separator.  I don't know what year that started, maybe 72???  Anyway, the vapor return line runs right along side the fuel supply line out of the tank.  it runs into a vapor canister mounted just behind the tank.  there are 4 lines that run from there into the tank.  the issue with that is, there is a check valve in the separator.  that was not allowing the vapor and fuel to get back to the tank.  I unhooked the line from the separator and ran it right into the tank using one of the 4 lines and all problems with inlet pressure are solved.  it no longer stalls and lock up the high pressure pump.  I drove about 60 miles and it's running great.  it seems to set in at 14.4 AFR and throws 39.8* timing at 60 MPH.  it's learning and it's very responsive.  I will get a lot more miles on it this weekend.   :jumping:

I haven't installed mine yet.   Although not on this thread, there have been several other posts from members who have used this throttle body injection set up successfully.   The main issue noted is with the "Fuel Command Center" add-on that is supposed to work with the OEM fuel pump.   Based on what I've read, there were issues in the initial design with a check ball in a vent on the FCC causing fuel starvation issues, particularly on bumpy roads.   Apparently they're have worked or are working on a correction.

I'm going to go with a in-tank fuel pump to there's no FCC in my future plans.

All,

I get it this is an old thread, but are there any updates from anyone.  I purchased a Go EFI 4 600 for my 5 speed 470 yesterday.  My first question is I have a TankInc fuel pump with a return line.   Do I need a pressure regualtor?  I was going to plumb directly into the TB.  Everything says it has a pressure regulator built in - but wanted to confirm.

And who is using timing control with a CDI?

Thanks for the help.
