Other than the part #'s, what (if anything) is the difference in 4bbl head pipes for a 70 340 and six pack (T/A-AAR) head pipes?

Manifolds are the same so that end is the same... Mufflers are different, Chances are the angle at the rear is different...

Yes, as stated location of the muffler is different. Both engines used the same manifold :2cents:

The TA/AAR headpipes are designed differently at the rear than the regular 340 headpipes. The TA/AAR headpipes are shorter , more inboard towards the driveshaft and angled downward to allow the TA mufflers to hang lower. The regular 340 headpipes are longer at the rear , are positioned more outboard and are angled upward to allow the center in center out resonators to be in line with the over the axle pipes. The exhaust manifold end of both pipes are the same. Hope this explains the differences between the two.

Tom Swope...Thank You!

Anybody know who sells just the head pipes? I was looking at Gardner, but they just sell whole systems.

I saw them at Classic Industries. Has anyone used these specific pipes?

Alan, you have any nice used ones?

Thx.
