1971 Convertible Front Windshield Trim Removal

I just bought one of those tools last week
Glass shop can't fix you windshield

Gonna ask at least, they fixed a pretty big chip with some small cracks around it on my daily driver, I can't even see where it was now. I watched them do it, they added some chemicals and some type of paste, then heated fron the other side, grinded and polished and it just vanished, like magic

Weird, that would make sense, but mine didn't even have any holes in the trim. There were only cutouts for the clips.
Maybe they are added with a windshield change? (since the service manual don't show them).
