Ok guys,
In laying out the path for this winters work on the "Redfish" I have decided to start with replacing the electrical/gauges/interior upgrades.
The car has an abs dash cap right now and it doesn't look bad but I don't want to worry about it sitting in the 100° heat here in the south all day at a show and me return to find the dash buckled into the windshield.
I have read every post I could find on the subject and thought I had found the answer in going thru Dave and Rosevillemopars, then I read where he is not doing that any more. Every other post suggest you may or may not get your dash back in the next year if you get it back at all
So, I plan to pull my dash, and evaluate it's condition then either buy a rebuilt dash pad and turn mine in as a core or, if I don't get an good direction here, repair the foam myself then have a nice leather cover made for it.
This is a driver and I am not a stickler for perfect reproduction stitching or grain as I don't know the difference but, I do want a quality looking dash.
What about the dash pads I see advertised on ebay for $600, any experience with these?
With this said, please give any and all advice, direction or experiences so i can get going.
Thanks for all the help.
Cheers!
Mickm
