Finally broke down and bought a pair of their firehose flannel lined pants. After hearing co-workers praise the regular firehose pants,

AH, so comfy! So WARM! Supposed to be so tough, that they last forever. Did I mention COMFY? lol. Like wearing jammies.
Jammies that last and last - these dudes are built tough. Pricy? YEAh, hell, yeah. Pockets everywhere.

So far, worth every penny to me. I'm used to buying $13 wallyworld crap stuff. These were like $75.00! ouch. No - not made in USA.

I don't ever think I will ever go cheap again, though. MAN, these are NICE.

No, I'm not a paid spokesman. No, I didn't get a kickback. WoW! To wear them is to believe. I bought a size bigger than what I wear, and after I washed them, they were perfect.

HOLY SCHNIEKE! WOW, they are nice. That's all.  serious.

I would have never believed how nice a pair of pants could be. That's all. YMMV.
I will be buying another pair, and probably the shirt/jac thing made of the same material. The word fire hose turned me off, I thought coarse and rough.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Comfy and strong and durable. OMG, they are NICE!
Why did I wait so long? lol.

Edit - and that gusseted crotch thing? Yeah, that's real. You will notice it the first time you have to crouch down in these things. Serious as hell. It works.

Thanks for the info gumby!  I bought some of their "buck naked" underwear this past year, and they are awesome, no binding, and more space where it really counts.  They were pricey, but from the looks of things, they will outlast my regular stuff 3 fold

Interesting .... I work outside all year and these might be nice in the winter?  On really cold days -20 or so I wear long johns in addition to regular jeans.

Firehose pants (my fleece lined ones) are most excellent, to me. But my torso is freezing. lol. And so it goes.

I have been considering purchasing a pair of these to see if they compare to the carhart loggers.   The loggers are 15 oz. denim. Hard to beat that.  Loggers are 45 bucks.
I work outside all year long. 

Would be nice to have a pair of jeans that don't eventually tear out the crotch.

I'm a RR, but I sit on my butt (engineer) Conductors that have to get out and do all the work convinced me. I broke down and tried them. I am impressed. Deep pockets, (I got cargo pants) pockets galore.
As mentioned, the gusseted crotch - which I thought was a gimmick - but ONE stoop will convince you otherwise. Belt loops that are INCHES thick. Everything is top notch. Pockets inside of pockets, lol. serious.
They really rock.

Impressed me enough to do all my x-mas shopping with them. All relatives at a pop. One and done. One of my nephews lives a few blocks from their store in MN, and he showed me his longshoremans vest, or what ever the hell it was, and it was impressive. (he's back for a baby shower with his wife). He will at least be able to go to their store and try it on - I guess if he makes it back before the 30th? he leaves on sunday.
Being a RR, I have absolutely no idea what day it is, or care about the time of day - on call 24/7. it's either light out, or it is dark. That's all. Haven't used an alarm clock for 22 years now, lol. No such thing as a
weekend or a holiday. It's either a work day or it isn't. It's the nature of the beast.

Their website is very vague. No weights, no real descriptions. Not even pictures. That REALLY threw me off. I like pictures. All you have to go by is word of mouth. I DON"T LIKE THAT!

I kept thinking preppy or gimmicky or some similar crap. I don't know. I didn't even look up reviews. I just went with what my co-workers said. Look up reviews, I guess, and post back?

Stupid intresting side note - on the tv show Seinfield, the character Elaine, Jerry's female friend was an illustrater for a catalog like this - I don't know why I remember that, but I do.
Has ABSOLUTELY nothing to do with this, except they only show illustrations in their catalogs. (Duluth, that is)

I was going to order some of those pants but with the money exchange..... and some more parts for my car I wanted.

   Us car guys are our worst enemy, I'd rather the car parts than warmer clothes!

Oddly enough my 14 year old daughter loves the underwear commercials.  Just pointed out the one in a meat grinder to me.
