Yea me too. I thought about stitching some thin covers around the spokes before putting the outer cover on, but this is beginning to get too thick and complicated. I think you could make your own leather cover that does cover the spokes without a lot of hassle. The issues come in from getting the correct diameter, edges have to be folded over and sewn, then the edges punched with small holes to facilitate lacing. It would be a good "cottage industry" for someone to make. I think I paid wheel skins something like $35 for a solid black one.
