    compatability of 904 transmission

    hello group, does anybody know if the 904 transmission out of my 73 challenger with 318 will mate to a 71 slant six? also, I know the 727 is a torqueflight... is the 904 also a torqueflight? thanks in advance!

    The bell housing is different on the /6, internals are the same. so no.

    I believe the name "torqueflite" was a trademark name for all Chrysler corp automatic transmissions regardless of the specific model and application.
