Convertible rain deflectors
« on: December 04, 2015 - 06:32:27 PM »
I'm working on my basket case 70 challenger convertible and I see in the restoration catologs rain deflectors. What are these and where do they go. Never had a convertible so I don't really know what I'm looking for🤔

They are black plastic and clip on the metal structure on the inside of the 1/4 windows.
You can sort of make them out in this picture (stolen from another thread.
They are just ahead of the top frame in front of the 1/4 glass.
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Before they were reproduced they were going for even crazier money since they most always go missing.

You snap them on & the next time you look they've fallen off & are down in the bottom of the quarter panel.... I've got mine, they are in a drawer somewhere, never run them, they don't do much & they've always fallen off...

I don't have them for mine.  I'm not going to bother with them, I don't think I'll be drive in the rain very often.

Cleaning up the sheet metal on my Challenger vert and found the rain deflectors stuck in the bottom of each internal quarter panel. Owned a number of e body verts back in the day; didn't know these things existed!

Thanks to anlauto and JB for the pics
