pulled another beater
« on: December 05, 2015 - 02:31:36 PM »
I picked up this truck last week.  Nothing special by any means.

The title has like 7 kids (teens/early20's) names all over it. Apparently none of them know how to read something before they sign it.

has a 318 727 203 combo.  Both my Ramchargers have the 203 set up and I prefer that one over the 205 or 208.

318 runs great.  Starts right up.  Covered in grease but not a ping or smoke coming from it.  Not sure if it's the original.  Not that it matters.
not sure about the 727 yet.  I think the 5th kid to have it drove it with the lines unhooked until it ran out of fluid.  Then had it towed home by the guy I purchased it from.
I bet the tranny will be alright.

Otherwise it has very little on it.  Dash gone, cab light gone. bed light gone.  grill is beat but can go back on. have the front bumper as well.

The bed is in awesome shape.  Zero rust.  Very little denting.  Very surprising for one of these trucks.

I bet 500 bucks and she is back on the road.

So, trying to find the first person who is actually on the title, I found this

Here is the title.  Ridiculous
I don't believe any of those kids are licensed dealers.

This makes me want to have an old man moment, and say something angsty about the "damn kids these days."

Good luck with that title.   That area looks VERY familiar to me.  I grew up on the front range.

I pulled it out of Copper Gulch.  The woods neighborhood between Westcliffe and Canon City and Cotopaxi.
The kids have all been from my local Salida and Buena Vista area.  Up by Monarch for you front rangers.

This is my second dodge truck.  I purchased and drove home a 78 dually once and robbed the 440 for my Ramcharger.

However I have now owned three Ramchargers.  I love the ramchargers.  But have not scored that 74 1/2 yet.

I do find it interesting that the truck has gone up in price from $300 to 600!

I've been searching for a ram charger forever too, not picky in the year, as long as it pre-1980 with a removable top :)  70Cudaprostreet  had a bad a$$ one with a gnarly built 440 and 40in tires, thing was a beast, the plates said "LEGL HI" haha I think he still has those plates ok his current monster of a ram

Blanca peak is about 6 peaks to the left of the peaks you can see.  And it is really on the other side of the sangre's.
I'm on the westcliffe side here.

There are some great arrowheads and spearpoints down on the blanca!
