Newbie from Minnesota
« on: December 10, 2015 - 09:15:03 PM »
Good evening,

I am new to this fabulous website, but I am not new to Mopars. Currently I have a 1970 Plum Crazy Barracuda cloned as a Pro Street 'cuda with a 383. Like all E-Bodies, it is a pure joy to drive. Attached is a recent photo.

Thank you! A pair of very nice looking cars from you both as well.

Cheap gas in MN...sure, for my daily driver. The 'cuda has 13.5:1 compression so I have to use high octane leaded gasoline.

The gas prices , was referring to the old timey pump sign.
Was running the VP 110 leaded down here at $8.50 gal, was probably overkill but damn that lead gas smells good!

Thank you!

Ok got it. I missed that! 17 cents per gallon with tax for premium leaded at Sweeter Times (currently a nostalgic candy and toy store in my hometown) and I took the photo!

Welcome from  :canada:  That's a nice car and the cage, hood scoop, Welds and rear tires give it a somewhat Pro Stockish edge. You must cry a wee bit every time you have to fill it, but it's probably worth it!

Thank you!

I use Sunoco Maximal 116. Can only buy race gas at one place within 100 miles of my house. $13 / gallon x 10 gallon fuel cell = lots of fun and great smelling clothes!

Welcome to the site. Great looking car! You'll get a lot of good info from everyone here. Do you live any where near Rochester? My daughter lives there.

Welcome!  Where abouts are you from in MN?  Looks like a spot in  Hastings.

@TelisSE440 - Thank you! I am in the process of purchasing a second '70 'cuda that is closer to stock. Could be driven much longer distances!

@JoeGrapes - Thank you! Everyone has been so welcoming and friendly. I grew up in Red Wing and went to Rochester quite a bit. Now I live in the far southwest metro in Carver.

@BFM_Cuda - Thank you! I appreciate that! My fifth E-Body and this one I am keeping.

@teslasbrain - Thank you! I live in Carver. The photo was taken in the historic area of downtown Carver at "Sweeter Times" vintage candy and toy store. I grew up in Red Wing and have been to Hastings numerous times. Hastings has a great cruise-in car show in the historic district on alternating Saturdays in the summer months.

@dfrazz - Thank you! I was looking at a '70 hemicuda clone in Denver but have decided to buy another 'cuda locally.
