Small block balancer
« on: December 13, 2015 - 12:30:05 PM »
Hmm, I have been driving with the wrong balancer, took it out now to paint it, this one is clearly for the cast crank, and I have a forged crank. I don't see any weights on the converter either. (727) And the engine has been running fine. Very strange. Would not that be noticable?

I would think so, is it possible that my converter has some balancing on it anyways? I gotta check again, I just checked the outside towards the engine. But the engine was fine, not that I could stand a coin on it while idling, but didn't shake any more than normal, and I did not feel anything while driving. Is it possible that my forged crank has been balanced WITH this balancer? I don't know how they balance a crank really.
