Hmm... Prices do have a rise on lot of lower priced models and some top priced models. Thing is (to me), Muscle Cars are still unreachable for younger people to own...

I always wonder how these sources that claim to know muscle car values get their numbers.  There are so many variables in cars that it is difficult to impossible to know beyond an educated guess what a car would really sell for IMHO.
Some of those variables include: #'s, unrestored or survivor, color, 4 speed or auto, certain options like shaker on an E body, how many beers the bidder with more money than sense drink at the auction, if there was shill bidding at the auction, does the bidder at the auction have a trophy girlfriend with him that he is trying to impress, how much have certain cars been selling in private unadvertised sales, etc.
Seems like you'd need a pretty complicated computer program to analyze all that data and spit out a number.  Even then, that number might not be much more accurate than next weeks weather forecast!
Many of these places that talk about collector car prices have a stake in selling cars and this is just part of their hype to drive values up and make themselves more money. Investment grade this, flipper!  :swear:

:iagree: Now that i see it, it tells us how much much a HemiCuda costs, allright, let's go to Hemi RoadRunner, or to HemiCharger or to Hemi Challenger. What? Not there? Then how it tells us how much a Challenger R/T costs? We are talking about a huge difference between a Hemi one and a 383 one. Just as JH27N0B says, there are a lot of variables. Can't put this in a mold or something...

I can see prices of the lower dollar cars going up. The high costs of restorations these days are to the point that a lot of cars are simply not worth restoring anymore. For example if you want to have a really nicely restored 340 Duster or something like that, the car would not be worth the cost of a restoration so guys will be looking for ones that are already done. Supply and demand..

Good points but if they use the same perameters to establish the price every year then it should give some indication as to what direction prices have moved and roughly by how much. Auction prices will influence private sale prices so there is some degree of relevence to them even if the buyer is trying to impress his hottie while he's drunk. I don't think that the published numbers are intended to be a hard and fast value.

:wavingflag: Well like the article said they are just average figures of what the cars on the site sold for.  So it was dependant on what type they had and what condition.  It is just showing a general trend. Don't look into it too much. :2cents:
:wavingflag:  Quit being offended by everything, I am sure you are doing something that upsets me, but I am not complaining about you!!! It is a free county get over yourself!

With all this climate change talks going on and especially here in Canada I wonder if they will at some point "outlaw" our cars and make them worthless. I'm not having a good feeling with the current drama teacher that the people foolishly just elected.  :pullinghair:

Don't think it'll happen Brad. A couple thousand cars in a country this big won't make any difference. There's bigger fish to fry.

Our governments are overstepping reality on the minor things.

Meanwhile in China...
Air Pollution Linked to 1.2 Million Premature Deaths in China

Edward Wong wrote in the New York Times, “Outdoor air pollution contributed to 1.2 million premature deaths in China in 2010, nearly 40 percent of the global total, according to a new summary of data from a scientific study on leading causes of death worldwide. Figured another way, the researchers said, China's toll from pollution was the loss of 25 million healthy years of life from the population. The data on which the analysis is based was first presented in the ambitious 2010 Global Burden of Disease Study, which was published in December in The Lancet, a British medical journal."Source: Edward Wong.
