Which is why I'm surprised to see Hot Rod throwing something out there that isn't more substantive than being just another rumor.

So who here will pay $50 for a new repop "Barracuda" emblem for their restoration? Who would pay that some $50 for a "Cuda" script?

Dan Gurney owns AAR, not Cuda.

I have noticed that Nvidia is now using "Cuda" as a type of video communication.   Maybe they own it now..   :dunno:

If that's the case... That's sad. And i'm sure that they paid nothing for owning it...

My brother works fixing PC parts. I have asked him about that and a lot of times Nvidia CUDA was popping up as i googled the beloved E-Body. But i didn't connect them together, until just now that you said it Jim. I believe it might be it, i just don't know if the legal firm is the name (pronounce that is) or the emblem (what we see) or maybe both... :dunno:

Nvidia has TM next to the CUDA name for "Trademark" but that's all I know.

2 separate products that do not compete on any level and there would never be any confusion of the name based on the product, so it's OK.

...and don't forget Barracuda Networks which produces a host of web security and network systems.

However, it is entirely possible to trademark identical names that are used in widely variant industries. Although such a fight did not go well between Chevrolet and Beretta Arms.
