Thanks, 73446pk. I have a question. Do you guys (the state of NY) require state inspections for vintage / classic cars?

Thanks, our emissions check are for 1976 and newer vehicles. And no safety inspection on inspections or emissions testing on anything 1975 and older, but our emissions test is Approx. $60

Ya quite A few states don't require safety inspections. after A vehicle is 25 modal years old they are no longer subject to emission requirements. :burnout:

What do you use to make a 383 stroker?  Or do u mean you are building a stroker out of a 383?

Sorry, The new motor will be a 383 block, and by using a 440 Source stroker kit, it will be stroked to a 496. :smokin:

We have a safety inspection (lights, brakes, suspension etc.) required each year. It costs $12 I believe.

Don you and 734406pk, have some nice MOPARS in the barn. Being from Detroit, I had family members that worked for Ford, GM and Chrysler. So I just grew up working on and enjoying them all. As soon I figure out this "picture posting thing" I will be sharing some build pics of the engine.

Thank You Sir! I find it simple to take a pic with my cell phone and email it to myself in a lower-res format then copy and paste the pic(s) to the c-c.com site. Works well for me.
