Does a 727 and an 833 take the same driveshaft length ?

Just be glad you're not restoring a Ford. Sometimes you need the exact date when you order a timing chain for one of them.

Really ?  :o I thought that older U.S. cars in general were more plain and robust. This remindes me changing parts on my 09 Vauxhall...

Yes: In general GM and Chrysler were pretty good at keeping the same parts year after year, Ford though seemed to be changing stuff all of the time.
