440 hemi six pack
« on: December 19, 2015 - 09:26:44 AM »
I drove my challenger to work yesterday and the security Gaurd at the front told me he found an original 440 hemi six pack in a field:roflsmiley:

I told him there was no such thing and he proceeded to argue with me for 10 minutes while I sat and idled at the front with people waiting behind me. He didn't believe me that hemis were 426 c.i. and he didn't believe that hemis only came with dual quads. He said six packs all had 6 individual 1 barrel carbs and told me I was wrong when I said no, they had 3 2 barrels. I wouldve just shrugged it off, but He pissed me off when he told me that my car would never run with only one 4 bbl on it....

Some people need to be slapped sometimes. He told me he would show me the "build sheet" hahaha yeah doubt that ever shows up!

The world is full of them. As soon as I realize I am dealing with someone who hasn't a clue what they're talking about, I politely end the conversation. Life is too short to add unnecessary stress.

I met one of these guys today myself. He met a guy that had a 69 Chrysler 300, 4 speed convertible but the guy didn't want to sell it. However when he bought the Chrysler new he also bought a new Hemi 4 speed Challenger convt. and a Hemi 4 speed Cuda convt at the same time. He still owns them of course and they only have 800 miles on them. The factory contacted him and wanted to buy them back.
Yeah, right, keep talking buddy. In the mean time anything else you say is completely discredited as well.

Ha! Beat me to it. I was going to go there.

Had a guy start talking about his early Camaro recently (I was in the Challenger). Being nice I asked him the  year. It was a 64. Damn now there is another 2 minutes of my life I cannot get back... Politely and immediately excused myself.

I have a 392 hemi with 6  2bbls. I put it in my old 69 modtop barracuda, then you can add a Hemi 4 speed to really confuse some. By the way, you can use 318 engine mounts on a 392 to install it. Then an adapter that costs under 300 to run your 727 and starter. The front ends go to crap quick though.

I'm with you on the security guard sniffing his socks and high on toejam joy juice.  Except, I would not of kept people waiting in line. Not for some dickhead anyways.  The world is full of them.  Just enjoy your ride and let the haters hate. You have true American muscle, and it needs no explanation.  Wish oldschool Ken could pull up to that security guard gate.
