1973 barracuda Limited edition? is there such a thing?
« on: December 24, 2015 - 02:04:37 AM »
I was looking at a 73 barracuda in a guys garage and noticed that on the passenger side of the dash pad (which looked very original) where the rectangle shaped barracuda badge would normally be was a badge that said Limited edition. It looked factory with its size and shape and even the silver outline rim and brownish vertical lines around the letters as this one in the picture  shows. It looked EXACTLY like this photo except said LIMITED EDITION. Anyone ever heard of a limited editon 73?

No, it's not a Plymouth thing All4rocks. I have some badges' photos below... Watch them and tell if any of these is like what you see in the dash. The photos have description, so you can see the car which they were installed. IMHO they removed a Dodge emblem and installed it there.

Not from the factory. A dealer can do whatever they want to try to move cars that nobody wanted at that time.

It didn't say "special edition" it said "limited edition". It was factory looking.

You won't find original name in any Plymouth E-Body dash that says "Limited Edition" All Plymouth E-Bodies in all years and all models (Barracuda, 'cuda, Gran Coupe, AAR 'cuda) had the Barracuda name on the dash, differently made (letters '70, plate with name the rest years) but always said Barracuda.

 :iagree:

The Gran Coupe was the only thing close to limited or special edition packages, and they were 70 and 71 only.
