I have a 73 and obtained a 72 grille..they are different on the bottom where it's cutout for the bumper bracket to pass through. I'm guessing 70-72 front bumper brackets angle toward the bumper differently?

Top is 73, bottom is 72

Another "I never knew!", but I'm not surprised. The 73-4 bumpers are further away from the grille and have different brackets than 70-72.
