Tropcat, I used to do vehicle inspections for a living. So I know what types of things to look  for. Also, I have a prttty good Camera to shoot back pics to  you. I won't be available to do it until next week sometime. This week end is booked already.

TropCat! Do you need assistance? i live here in the Bay Area. I can check it out for you.....And  NO!!!  I wouldn't even dream of stealing your car underneath you. If it's within 3 Hrs. of Oakland, PM me and I can if you want, be of help.

Thanks. This board is the best. Bondavi is getting some extra pictures for me . If I need anything else I'll e-mail.

Why do you all think I need to take it immediately?

Is it a trust issue?

No. i don't know your level of urgency. It's your call if you would like assistance. The only thing I like besides helping you is seeing an E body.

looks like a good buy!

I would settle up and remove the car ASAP! Either hire a transport company or rent a storage unit till you can make the trip to haul it back yourself. Don't forget u-haul has car trailers.

This is what I meant about ASAP.Is this the trust issue. I did'nt mean your sense of urgency Topcat.

I don't think this guy has even posted the car for sale he has said he is very busy and has not been able to list it anywhere . He appears very honest.
But I understand,
I am going out on the 14th -16th of this month. I have offered a deposit to hold the car until I get there.  :driving:

The price is right if the car looks as good as the pictures show. I would say yes this is a trust issue, It's not like he's asking too much for it so get it out of there before someone else has cash in hand.

All I was doing was offering you assistance. If you don't need it, that's O.K. I can tell you that Plum6pak, Rev, April, will tell you that I appear trustworthy. If not totally.

Send him the full amount and have him send you the title back.  Then arrange for shipping.  Do you really need to see the car for that price??  Are you going to change your mind??  I doubt it.  I have bought many cars in Ca. and Tx. and elsewhere, it's really not a big deal.  I am talknig cars such as Shelbys and Bosses....anyhwher from 5K to 50K...sight unseen.

If you get a deal, get it done, or someone will get it first.  When I read your post it sounds like you want to see it in person before comitting....Be very careful since there are people around that don't need to see it and will scoop the car in a matter of 2 days or less.

Good Luck!
