pictures of horn mounting
« on: January 08, 2016 - 02:30:40 PM »
can someone please post a picture or 2 of the correct horn mounting location for the 73 Cuda?  I don't have any horns.  I do have the wires for them.  behind the grill.  someone posted pics in past threads but they have the pics have been removed.

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the quick response.  I'm not looking at it right now, but I feel like the wire for the driver side horn is closer to the left core support than the center of the car.  I will check when I get home.  do the horns have a special bracket?

Both horns mount on and closely to the centre support, the wiring follows in the light harness along under the top of the support and drops down to the horns, the horns have a very short small bracket each ( I think, one does for sure, need to check).

Ok, they both have short 90* mounting brackets and both are mounted to the right of the centre support as viewd from the front of the car a single wire connects the top horn to the harness, then a wire out of the same push on terminal loops down to the lower horn, wire lenth of loop approx 5"-6"

PM sent.
Thanks. Everyone.  I will put horns on my list of items to find.  I was talking to my dad and he said the car had horns when I got it back in 86.  he said they did not work so I junked them.  (he claims he told me not to) HA.  I have junked may items from the car that I now find myself looking for at swaps now.  I guess you make poor choices when you are 16.
