The forged h-beam rods in particular were things of beauty.
Too bad you can't see them anymore eh?

Then again, if you could, things would be really bad... :o

Did anyone get/install their 440-> 440 non-stroke-kit (rotating kit)? As I understood it is basically new crankshaft, rods, pistons etc, but without chaging the engine size?

Yes it's all the same without changing the stoke of the motor.

The other bonus is everything is balanced and ready to go!!!

Wow, sounds great!!

What about the price? They don't list the price for the kit, I suppose adding the numbers from the price list should give me a rough estimate? Did anyone buy this kit and for what price?

All their kits are the same price so a 440 kit is the same as a 512 kit... Why get a 440?

In EVERY kit, we include everything you need, crank, rods, pistons, pins, locks, Clevite main bearings, Clevite rod bearings, Total Seal file fit moly rings, AND precision final balanced, all for just $2249, SHIPPING INCLUDED!! (as long as you are in the lower 48 states.) And, as long as you're not located in the state of Nevada, there's no sales tax either, so that price is $2249 100% OUT THE DOOR.

This is a second post of the same stuff...  just to get it where it might help...  thought I'd add my experience so far with buying Stealth heads.  I am building a 383/432 (now built and 98% ready to drop in), using Stealth heads.  Upon ordering, I added their upgrades; springs, retainers, locks and seals, and their labor fee.  1) Springs height.  I'm not sure what Comp springs they install on the upgrade, and they didn't respond to that question by email.  So I had the shop check valve height and spring pressure.  The installed valve heights were consistent with 1.885 height intake and 1.890 exhaust.  Using stock rockers that difference would be absorbed in the hydraulic lifter, I suppose, I'll be using ductile adjustable, non-roller.  2) Spring pressure.  The upgraded springs are sitting at 140lbs closed / 320 lbs open.  If you look at the Comp springs tables, there are some double-springs candidates that fit that profile.  3) Valve seating.  Pulled two and lapped them to check uniformity, and they were showing about perfect.  4)  Flatness of the head surface.  The shop measured a .0015 negative curve across the heads, both length and side to side.  They told me this is typically an artifact of using a grinding wheel too small for the job, so it naturally embeds the curve when it makes a pass.  So, we removed .003, and they looked great afterward.  This note is NOT a slam of the guys at 440Source - overall workmanship was really good and they upgraded the heads and shipped in two days.  I consider less than perfect pretty normal these days - read, take advice, and verify. I am also using their 3.75 crank and the guys at the shop said "very nice, that's a super hard crank".   Like I say, I haven't run it yet, but the heads look great painted, I am up to the excited stage.. this 432 will be coming in right at 10:1 with Diamonds, Eagles and the Stealths.   :working:

Good deal! None of these production parts are perfect but 440Source are better than most and at a great price. Good luck with your build!

Here's an update... progessing along. I'm gathering photos for a longer post later.  Ran into the Stealth heads issue I've read about on other Mopar chat sites -  the pushrod holes not being aligned to the friggin lifters.  :pullinghair:  The valve side of the elongated holes on the intake ports is not low enough for std 1.5 rockers (much less 1.6s).  I'm using Crane adjustable iron rockers with 3/8 pushrods.  Tackled this light porting effort yesterday - but what a pain.  440 Source needs to get this right.  Didn't try to send the heads back because I had already shaved the head face to eliminate the slight negative curve.  Pressing onward.

I'll definately be looking forward to more info and thoughts on your build. I'm basically doing the same, except I am using the Edelbrock top end set (minus the cam, went with Lunati).
