i need trans choices and controller answers HELP!!!!!

im at the point that i need to make a choice about the transmission and i need some help organizing the options. if you have an idea or source for trans swap please get me contact info as well as price. i need a pro/con guide as well. what i know so far:

2008-13 gen III hemi engines have a small block mopar bolt pattern. any trans that went on a small block will bolt to genIII engine.

there is a small disc spacer installed into the crankshaft to help align the torque converter and may need to be removed depending on choice of trans.

you should use a 130 tooth flywheel from a hemi truck with siamesed bolt holes.

best to have starter on drivers side if you are keeping the torsion bars, most header shops are building that way. factory exhaust manifolds can be used depending on steering choices.

floor and console cutting will be optional depending on the transmission you choose. except, 727 and factory 4 speeds. i have heard that the NAG trans fits but you will need to cut the center body tunnel to fit the oversized output flange. it needs a custom mount as well.

the 545 auto is a 5 speed, the NAG is a 5 speed so i would think that would be a great choice if it can be done with the same level of cost and work as the traditional 4 speed GM 4l60/4l80 that are being used by the trans swap companies.

would like to know what you have found out while you were researching your swap about transmission choices. who makes the kits? do they offer computers?do they offer seperate mounts? what has to be done to the floor if any? shifter choices? starter choices? and  if possible , prices and contact info.

90-95 a518. It fits with no tunnel work in an E body. I have a94 a518 with lock up converter in my car now. There are a few left in the salvage yards

IMO put a manual in it. Tremec the obvious choice. No computers, no kick down cables and much more fun to drive

Manual is the cool choice. A lot of options there too.

I thought a lot about it before I decided, (going 6.1 / NAG1), first I was gonna use my old 727 so I ordered all parts to make it work with the 6.1, then I changed my mind, and decided on the NAG1, now I got all parts for that, (Hotwire) 4 computer boxes, wiring harness, shifter, gas pedal, tone wheel and speed sensors that goes on the driveshaft. I will have to modify the tunnel slightly for the oil filler tube, and make the tranny crossmember thinner, and make a custom driveshaft. The starter on the passenger side is a problem, I have not solved that yet, but I will, I ordered TTI headers to fit a 727, hopefully I can cut and modify the passenger side. Other people have made their own headers to fit so it can be done. Manual is cool also, but I don't want it in this car.

I have the 545rfe in my 67 I have bad knees.  I love driving the auto gets 24mpg runs high 12s over 50,000 driven miles in the car  chevy trans.bracket bolts right to it.

Decided to go with a 5 speed and it worked out great.
