I believe the border issue kills it for many American buyers.

Since EBay...I've had a couple of great conversations with what seem like potential buyers, but they ask more questions about crossing the border then they do about the car.... I really agree with Rick here, unless I could offer some sort of solid transport and import information that relieves their concerns, they really don't want to advance.... I just put them onto a transport company that will handle all the brokerage for them

I do have patience, I've decided on my CDN price that I need, and I won't let it go any lower... There is one guy wanting to look at it next week, so we'll see how it goes.... :dunno:

If you want to sent it down to me in foxboro I'll store it until it sells and I won't even drive it that much...

Alan, just wondering if you are able to deliver the car? As you know...Dave delivered the Cream Dream to me and had a friend of his (that does transporting) do the crossing at the border and handle the paperwork transaction. That greatly put me at ease. You can up your price if you can offer that option.

It's sad that bringing a car over the border causes Americans so much concern. It's really an easy process. It's much harder for Canadians bringing cars up and we do it without a second thought. I think this is why a lot of cars are going to Europe as well, Europeans just deal with it as well rather than talk and fret about an inconvenience.

:iagree:   Yup! I brought my Cuda up from the US and although a pain it was worth it. And from what I have researched, it would be even easier to bring from Canada to the US.

I don't have an enclosed trailer, so I wouldn't want to deliver it this time a year....

You're right about the Europeans....The last two cars I sold were bought sight unseen and went to Germany and Sweden with absolutely no issues. The buyers made all the arrangements, I just delivered the cars locally to a shipping company.  :woo:

Saw the car was just on eBay again, this time priced at $72,500.00 but auction ended stating no longer available.
Bidding had gotten up to $69,100.00, what happened to the auction?

And you didn't have to deal with shipping it to the US.

Congrats on the sale Alan. Just curious what your profit margin was, and do you think it was worth it factoring in your investment and labor. ??
