It seems like a while since I have seen one of these!!

Can anyone change the wheels in this pic to black.  Just winter day dreaming.

You won't see the dirt & mud the same that's for sure.

I think it cheapens the look of your car.

You need that flash to offset the paintjob.

Keep it as is

I think I will stay with the shiny look....I guess I need to get out the polish and start on another winter project!!!

I like the black, but it's too much. How about black centers with the polished rim lip? It may tone it down a bit yet keep a little flash. Another photoshop attempt?

Could add some paint striping to give them some different looks. There is peel able spray paint. Try it and if you don't like it peel it off. Tried it for graphics not too long ago on mY 40yr old paint and it peeled right off. It's like a soft rubber and sprays on with a mat finish. Comes in many colors.

OK this was a bit harder to do.  I like the look of this one much better than the all black.
I think I have seen rims very similar to this look before.

you could also mess around with plastidip in various combinations. it's easy to apply and easy to remove

Hey JAS! What do you think?  I like the black wheel with silver rim.  Sort of a bad ass look, with some bling.  Solid black wheels get lost in the wheel well and tire.  There is no definition.  The silver rim keeps some dimension.  And the black still compliments the purple and pink.  It may be easier to black out the centers than to polish the whole thing.  Just wondering.

Thanks Ray, I like that a lot more than just black...reminds me of American Racing Torque Thrusts, which I had on the car for a long time.

Yep that was always my plan...only problem is that plastidip is close to 20 bucks a can here in Canada.

I will likely pull of the wheels and see what they polish up like, if I can't get the centers to polish up well, I may try painting them black.
