My  :2cents: is this , you have a rare & desirable car paid for  the value will fluctuate but it will hold its value , a new Helcat is awesome but will drop in value so the gain you will make on the exchange will be lost in devaluation over time  , Buying a Helcat in a couple of years will probably be a lot cheaper , look at all the "collector" challengers built so far like the first run SRT 500 produced only with auto trans  , anyone want one now ? The Helcat is the pinnacle right now but in 2 years ? I know the gov is killing all the muscle cars again with legislation so maybe the Helcat is the pinnacle , I would still wait a year or two & pick up a low milage one devalued .
The other end of this is truely which do you enjoy more ? New is awesome but nothing like the old cars & no convertable option .
I would keep the vert personally . If I could win the Powerball I would have a much larger toy box  with a couple each of the best new Challengers & Vipers & ....

Thanks for thoughts. I still have access to and work on a Mopar collection so when I say I'll not miss the car, that's where I'm coming from.  I'm sure you guys have seen the Bob Hope Challenger convertible right? That's one of the cars in the current collection I help maintain.

Will have to see what happens during auction week. Is there a better online site other than eBay?

and somewhat of a tag along with what Chryco said; another consideration would be a low mile 2015/16 Scat Pack and drop on a supercharger. save a lot of dough and have all the fun. @$35-40k for a low mile or new Scat Pack, add @ $8k for the supercharger. another $900 for the hood if you want the look too.

Hey I like what you guys are saying but it's not me.  If you could go back to 1970 and be able to purchase a limited run Hemi car or go for a more available Big block car, what would you do?

See, I knew someone would know what I was talking about. My boss bought it almost a year ago. Before the dollar tanked... :)

I remember joking with the sales guy that I was too young for bob hope and that his ownership added no value in my opinion. He was nice and let me sit in it though and that Yellow Hemi they have too. I have always thought the people at LMC were quite nice.

Either way it was a beautiful car and your boss is a very lucky man! Why don't you sell your car to your boss? best of both worlds? you get paid and still get to drive it!

Boss has 3 cars down south right now, that's where the money is in the conversion. I'm heading down on Sunday for a few days. Should be on stage Wednesday around 7pm at Barrett when his Hemi Orange 65 AFX crosses the block.
