    With U-haul you can leave the truck or trailer at a U-haul renter that is located in your destination instead of having to return it every time. They are able to do that because of so many locations.

    It's probably a fiberglass hood that just lifts off.

    yes but because the intake(?) points so far foward, you would have to lift it at a very odd angle

    You just have to loosen the motormounts and jack the engine a tad and the hood will come right off.  :coffee:   ::)

    Nice find on the car, gonna be fun watching this one come back to life.  :beer:

    the hood opens up fine. It's on hinges and opens and shuts just like a factory hood,

    Talked with the previous owner and got a little history of the car:

    The car ran fine until the tranny blew, and that was when the car sat. Good to know I have a motor that was last known running.

    Owner is also giving me a NOS six pack shaker baseplate.  :thumbs:

    I will be looking to unload the hood and locate a real shaker hood, not repro. This car deserves that! Anybody want the T/A hood?

    If the car was a standard hood R/T, I'd consider keeping that T/A hood on there. But it IS indeed a N96 shaker car, anywhere between 80-150 440-+6 4 speed shakers built that year. So, it more than deserves to be put back the way it was built!  :grinyes:
