Was an under-hood lamp ever an option on E-Bodies?

I know a lot of the older Mopars had these... some switch activated, some mercury, but was it ever an option on an E-Body?

Seems like a cool thing to have on an old car... and if I could use a factory setup, even better. :-)

I have never seen or heard of one  easy enough to fit one though

If I remember correctly (50/50) my old 90 Suburban had one that was made to pull out with a cord so that you could actually use it for a light if req'd.

My 1991 Olds Cutlass International also had the retractable hood light, and it has a magnetic back to boot!

can't say I have ever seen one on an Ebody but that doesn't mean they were available.

I put 2 on mine years ago. Have since removed them because they were not bright enough for any real work. But with the LEDs out there now I might have to dig them out again.
