Has anyone fitted 71 'Cuda road lamps to a Challenger?

Challenger will not have the harness present. You could surely do it, but it will not be plug and play.

I put some on my car in the 80's, didn't know they weren't an option for Challengers.  It was my 1st car, traded it in for a Hyundai...............

Well... by plug-and-play I meant plugging in the new/correct harness. 

I was just thinking there would probably be the provisions in the bulkhead, etc.

I suppose this is the best thread to ask if I can fit the round road lamps of the earlier Cudas to my '73? I like the look of them a lot more than the rectangular ones that my car came with. What all would be involved in making this change? Thanks!

The rectangular lights on your car are turn signals and parking lights whereas the round lights on the 70 are fog or driving lights; two different purposes. That said, yes you could ditch the rectangular parking/turn signals but you need to figure out how you want to replace them. I did this on my 73 and installed headlights that have an integral turn signal, then I installed some 4" round driving lights. This is not a "plug and play" operation but not super difficult. Want them to work better and provide more light, put one of my relay kits on them. 

Only need to have the switch in the car to trigger, none of the expensive OEM/repro relay pieces.

That is the plan. I have learned to run about everything off a relay.

Wish that was the worst mistake I've made.
I also stripped a Panther Pink 70 383 R/T Challenger for parts for that same 72, and then had it towed to junk yard for scrap?
Also sold a 70, LS5 (365hp/454) 4spd, A/C, convertible Corvette for a mini-Van...........

  if we had only of known then what we know now... I have had my missteps as well to a degree but when it came to Mopars, I always tried to save them when I could. Didn't stop me from parting a few out or even wrecking one or 2 but I did try. Now, when it came to Chevys, I never had any love for them; sold a 61 ragtop 283 4spd car for $150, sold a 64 SS Malibu 283 4spd perfect body (needed paint) and interior for $300 and kept the battery. The guy who bought it from me immediately kicked the windows out, torched out the wheel wells and made a dirt track car out of it. I sold a 70 454 SS Chevelle for I think $200 and the body and interior were pristine. Even has a cowl induction hood, red and black car. Got it from my cousin who ripped the motor out for his 69 SS and within 1 week and blown it up.
