'66 hemi cars typically don't bring the big bucks.  That sounds like a fairly good selling price actually.
At Mecum in 2010 at the auction I bought my V code Challenger, a white survivor '66 hemi 4 speed Charger with under 20,000 miles sold for $48,000.  That was less than I paid for the Challenger, and even though I like it a lot, sometimes I think "I could have had a hemi!".  And have saved some money too.

I could be wrong, but I think this is the same car that was on GYC that Mark was trying to say was a "program" car, however it wasn't being presented this way on BJ.

I have a small on line business, and its been really tough under
the lousy Obama economy. Middle America is hurting. Barret Jackson is not the real world
for 99% of us. Only big money millionaires are shelling out the cash
for those cars. But, still fun to watch, and dream, and see cars we saw all
the time as kids.  Well, time to drive the car, it's sunny and dry
out today!

I did like last night when commentator Steve Magnante commented that a Boss 429 with a license plate of "Hemi Killer" would not stand a chance against a Hemi Cuda, Challenger, Charger or Coronet.  The other commentators, especially Mike Joy, adamantly disagreed.  Then Steve went on to say, "that license plate should be thrown in the trash!"

a stock Boss 429 from factory was not that fast on the street. Had mismatched parts.
