Carb and Manifold Pic
« on: January 30, 2016 - 12:30:42 PM »
Can you tell me if this a 4 barrel Carb?  It's a picture that was sent to me.

And what kind of Carb?  Can't find a tag.  May eyesight is old.

Also have you heard of an Offenhauser Manifold?  It's new to me.

Thanks.

The carb is a Barry Grant Demon, a high quality clone of a Holley

Never heard of Offy... Haven't been around cars much....

Offy was the go to for manifolds before Eddy's, thought they mainly did Ford stuff.

99% positive, there are 3 barrel versions which instead of two rear barrels have an oval shaped single rear barrel....

Carb is okay. I wouldn't allow much value for the manifold, there are better manifold choices out there, I prefer a Performer RPM or a Holley manifold. I don't buy used carbs unless they look to be in very good shape and are valued at less than half of retail at Summit.
