photobucket questions
« on: January 31, 2016 - 02:22:55 PM »
So, I like photobucket for somethings.

My problem with the web site is that it is terribly slow.  TERRIBLY slow.

I have my own ad blocker on and the photobucket website tells me this.  They ask that I turn off the ad blocker.  But then I get ads.  I hate ads.

So, if I upgrade to their 10.00 a year for the ad free use of photobucket, will that make my photobucket experience faster?  I just want pictures to load fast.

wondering if maybe it's my computer? or if there is something going on with photobucket that makes it really slow.

Anybody have any info on this?

I haven't noticed it being slow for me.
I have to sometimes click more than once to add a new album, other than that no problems.

It's slow for me when I am logged in and when I am not logged in.

Sometimes I browse the recent photos and it takes forever for them to load as well.

Just looking for that trick to boost the speed of the site.

May need to check in Task Manager to see what else is running at the same time.
Clean up computer to gain memory , things like that.

well, it's always been slow.       Even after I clean up the computer.

But I'll do that again as it is that time.

Josh, I've noticed that when I upload photos to photobucket and then to here or other forums all of my browser activity is slowed down.  I usually close the browser and re-open the browser and it is back to normal most of the time.  If not, I have to reboot the computer.

Yep it is slower than **** for me also. I gave up and don't use it on my pc much anymore.  All done on my phone. Also I do not use their app. It was a pos that always locked up.

Here's a tip if you did not know. To upload pictures from your phone. Email them to your photobucket account. They automatically go to mobile upload folder. But... if you want them in a specific folder put the name of the folder you want it in in the subject line. Even if you have sub folders. Such as Mopar/Misc I use.

I'm not noticing any problem in Photobucket  running Windows-7/Firefox with Addblock+ on a wired cable-modem

Did a trial, connected my phone to the PC Logged into Photobucket chose an existing album & clicked  upload, had to browse through my phone to find the picture I was looking  for then selected, uploaded, saw it was sideways, selected edit & rotated, saved, copied URL & pasted here inside of 3-minites..

One more thing, I selected my largest album, 191 images, it loaded in 5-seconds then a random page which loaded in 2-seconds...no lag I'd say
