 :iagree:

I guess my problem is that I came into the hobby when these cars were still relatively new and plentiful. Hot rodding was what it was about back then, no one I knew even considered keeping one stock. I respect and admire restored rare cars more because they are rare (kind of like a zoo type scenario) but I am not drawn to them at all except those that have a lot of pictures of the work, that interests me. But again, unless I am buying it or own it, it doesn't matter. Survivor cars are cool once you get the story, but not necessarily unto themselves (talked to a guy at the Nationals with a 70 6 barrel GTX for about an hour hearing about him ordering it and why it had this and that, the car itself was ok but nothing amazing).

I also agree with the comments on the tuners, some of those guys are getting 800+ HP out of a 2 or 3 liter engine; amazing.

Here's the deal.

As far as I see it the OP (resq302) started this thread as a discussion about the roof on this project.

Call it proportional,, raised, lowered, beautiful,....or even made from Play-doh.

It really doesn't matter.  This thread is been open for discussion and opinion.

Nobody has ever attacked the workmanship, which is outstanding by the way.

Why is it the jr members and the least member that all of a sudden come out of the
blue on one post and *****,
When ECS decided to challenge themselves to the project they weren't looking to build a luxury vehicle
but a simple family car built on a Barracuda shell...  for the challenge to see if it could be done...by hand.
The pictures show the professional fit of the body parts.

Whats wrong with having a discussion??

Is that not the essence of a forum?

The metal fabrication and workmanship on this car is amazing, to say the least.  Furthermore, this thread was created for an open discussion/opinion about the roof line etc.  The roof looks "out of place" with the body.

Maybe should have started over in the political posts to get bloodied up... LOL

Welcome and I believe all would agree that opinions (as in an idea based on an observation, fact or something tangible) are welcome. Things such as "it sucks, looks like crap, etc" are not overly helpful or conducive to a hearty discussion...

It was someone saying that most 4 doors look "out of place" as compared to their 2 door counterparts.

Why is it that every time pictures of this car shows up . . . We get a new locked thread?  Seriously?   :pullinghair:
