Okay, getting closer.  the car is out of the paint booth but has a few touch-up items.  Hopefully this will be back in my garage within a week or so and assembly begins :woo:.

Sure does get fun when you get some color on it. Did you end up with a black taillight panel

Yes, I'll load pictures in the near future.  The painter did a simple painting of the black panel versus creating the line on the top panel.  It will look good.

Love the grille in the hood. I need to look back through the thread to see if there are installation pics of that...

Thanks folks.  It certainly gets exciting at this point.  As for the scoop grill, I can get you some pictures in the future.  The body guy did this from stainless steel and he made a simple mounting frame.  I have the AAR quality fiberglass hood and this fits nicely.

I am definitely interested to see how the grille is mounted in the hood.

Car is looking awesome!  Where did you get the hood from?  If you don't mind me asking, how much?  Looking for the exact style hood but won't use hinges, just pins instead.  Also, I read a couple of pages back you were thinking of putting your grill up on ebay....how much do you want for it?  Mine is ok but has some major cracks that don't make it look good atm.

Very Nice!!  What mesh did you use for the hood? I like the look, especially at the cowl openings.

I bought the hood from Stinger Fiberglass AKA AAR Quality Fiberglass on the web.  It was less than $800.  They are located in Titusville, Florida http://www.aarqualityfiberglass.com/. I was going to try and repair my grill but would consider selling it to someone looking for OEM.  I've not decided on the price since there are a number of breaks.  The breaks are very clean so I think the repairs should be straight forward. You can IM me if seriously considering a damaged grille.

I'll post more detail on the hood mesh in the future. I don't know that it was anything special but will check with the guy who made both pieces.

BTW- We have the motor and transmission rebuilt and ready for install but the motor still needs break-in.  Do you guys use a stand or install it into the car for break-in?  That is one tool I can't justify for the price and brief usage.
