    Challenger inner fender mod

    Hey all

    Am about to start work on my new project starting by replacing the front inner fenders and going to do some smoothing and blanking at same time of holes and bolts that won't be required :aussie: :aussie:
    Like moving battery to back etc

    Is there a reason why there is the open hole in corner were meets firewall were flap goes over or can this be blocked too??

    Car was already half pulled apart to start with so wasn't sure if anything needed to run through here or if there is important reason other then to let stuff get in engine bay off the wheels lol?

    Post some pics so we can see what you see. It sounds like your talking about the access holes for the upper control arm adjustments.

    He won't need those once he installs the Pinto suspension....  Opps I meant Alterkation...

    yea mopar jack would say that's the one the access hole can still access from in engine bay if that hole was blocked so should be ok then?

    has any 1 else blocked these before or always just left it?

    The holes are for adjusting the UCA, a rubber flap does cover it.  Some folks here made vents for these holes.

    Also access to small-block starter and oil filter... with headers I would never seal mine up!

    If retaining the stock style suspension I would leave it open to allow the needed access for alignment. Fabricate panels that snap or bolt in and paint them body color. Not as clean but...

    If suspension mods eliminate needing this access for assembly and adjustments you can fill them.
    Seems like a lot of work for relatively non visual areas. Easy to see with empty bay. Now add motor, starter, exhaust, brake setup, possible clutch, etc...

             We fabricated scoops (vents ) from aluminum for the front and rear openings to help remove heat. Painted body color.   :rebel:

                           Page 20 about a third of the way down.  Fronts face forward for air in, rears face back to extract hot air.

    Cheers for link they look alright be interesting to know if they make a diff in temp man and nice car btw looks good in the orange what was heater/ac box u used in car didn't look like the standard 1 ?
