I've had a couple long trips to go get cars.
One of them was 5,510 miles and another was 5,092 miles. I did the full 5,092 miles all in 5.5 days (including loading the car and lots of parts / engine). Drove about 20 out of the 24 hours each day. That was one of the best trips! I would have slept more, but I was so jacked up thinking about the Hemi I never got tired.
I love driving to get rare and cool cars. It might be my favorite thing to do besides restoring them.
Here's the longer trips I've driven for Mopar project cars:
~5,510 miles
~5,092 miles
~4,884 miles
~4,492 miles
~4,126 miles (drove the whole way back without my right bicep. It tore off strapping the car on to the trailer)
Lots of trips under the 4,000 mile mark. Going to take a drive in about a week that will be 1,548 miles. It will be a 2 day trip to look at a car.
I've shipped some pretty far, but I'm sure guys have shipped them further.
However, we will have to wait for Cody to chime in before we can annoint you as the winner as I think he might have gone coast to coast.
